Challenge

The GR Portal (Group Retail Portal) application is the Volkswagen Group's car dealership. It is a management platform on which users have a single login for access to the GR Group’s various applications. GR Portal is based on Java 8 technology and the interface is built with the JavaServer Faces framework.

It is designed to work based on several Rest microservices, such as the organisation service, the application service, the role service, the CMS service, the Kvps service, the Telis service (developed under Docker), etc.

Our remit was as follows:

  • Maintainability of the application and management of the various services.
  • Implementation of a continuous integration cycle.
  • Validation of automatic deployment procedures.
